I’ve been with Deb in both Venice and Provence and found her passion for photography infectious. Her unique vision and dedication enable her to teach and inspire, making those around her better, more creative photographers. Deb is truly a remarkable and inspirational photographer who encourages others to explore a myriad of opportunities with composition, camera settings, motion, and leading lines.

Spend 8 days/7 nights photographing Venice, a truly magical city. From its iconic canals and gondolas to St. Mark's Basilica and from photogenic bridge after bridge after bridge to multi-hued buildings, we will spend our days wandering the narrow lanes and following the canals discovering hidden treasures off-the-beaten path and make both photographs and memories.
We will meet for a Welcome dinner at 6:00PM at our hotel and then head to the Grand Canal for some blue hour photography.
Days 2 - 7
Each day we will explore the different sestieres of Venice, including San Marco, Castello, and Cannaregio. We will explore the Rialto Fish market, the original Jewish ghetto and of course, Piazza San Marco. The Grand Canal is ideal for photographing the "blue hour" (that unique period of light just before sunrise and after sunset) again and again. We will also take 2 day trips - one to the rainbow-hued island of Burano and one to the charming fishing village of Pellastrina on the Lido.
Our adventure ends at approximately 11:00 AM after one last photo excursion and breakfast.
May 31 - June 7, 2020
The cost for the trip is $4,500. A non-refundable deposit of $750 is required at time of booking. Balance of payment is due 120 days prior to departure.

The photographer behind The Traveling Lens, Deb is an avid traveller and never, ever gets tired of photographing Venice. Her skill at creating intimate and grand portraits of natural and man-made environments is ideally suited to the labyrinth of canals and myriad of streets, alleys and piazzas that are Venice. This will be her sixth trip to Venice and believes that sometimes getting a little lost in Venice can result in unexpected photography opportunities.
