Unleash your inner photo expressionist and learn how to leverage the power of your iPhone to create abstract images using intentional camera movement and multiple exposure techniques. We will focus our attention on three shooting apps the first session: SlowShutter, AvgCamPro and Bluristic. Week two we will explore creating layered images after the fact using the Fine, Pixar and iColorama apps. Week three we put it all together. Three 1- hour sessions. Limited to 5 participants.
This workshop is designed to give you the skills needed to begin your journey into the world of the abstract. We will talk about the elements of art and design that make an abstract image successful, learn to see beyond the reality in front of the lens, and create abstract images through the use of intentional camera movement (ICM), in-camera multiple exposure techniques, minimalism and select post-processing programs. An in-depth exploration of the world of in-camera multiple exposure photography. We will talk about how M/E is different from single exposure photography, what makes a good composition, the difference between in-camera M/E blend modes, and how to combine M/E with ICM, as well as a high level look at the tools available for M/E on iPhones/iPads. Three (3) one-hour group sessions + one (1) one-hour private session. Limited to 3 participants.
